This is a fabulous red worsted wool skirt suit designed by Thierry Mugler in the late 1980's or early 1990's. There is an adjustable belt on each side of the waist to gather and cinch the fit of the jacket in Mugler's signature style. The patch pockets on the sides of the jacket are so unique and the jacket has a stand up collar with a cross over button closure. The inside of the jacket has ruby jewel printed fabric.

The skirt is a classic straight pencil style with an asymmetrical metal zipper down the left side seam with a flat hook and eye closure, and metal snap. The skirt is fully lined in Acetate and was made in France of 100% Worsted Wool. Model #: 1N1799. Labeled a French size 42, but we estimate this would best fit a modern day US size 8/10.
